I just created a new Flickr user for uploading family stuff. I think it’s important to keep work stuff separate from family stuff. Here’s the link:

I try to make comments on the pictures, so you may want to click through to the larger images.
If you’re unfamiliar, Flickr is a fantastic photo hosting service and community, but it has loose rules regarding what can be posted. Check out an earlier blog post for a couple warnings about exploring Flickr:

BTW — the older post links the photostream I maintain for exhibiting my work.

Hey! You ARE alive! I was starting to wonder if the radiation from the Genesee River got to you, or you were eaten alive by one of the wild grills up stream on the Houghton Creek.
Love the robot shot, the kids are dang cute.
Looks like Karen survived her first year as a prof
Peter, are you in the rock/gem business, or doing computer stuff?
John, Booger and I will be flying to PA July 2. I’ll be there until the 15th.
I know I’m being random here (but then again, when am I not random?) – do you know if Houghton has any online for-credit courses? I need to renew my teaching license and would like to do it with lit hours (Bressler?)
Funny how all these years later, my one three-credit course with Bressler is the one that serves me over and over again in my world of professional writing. I feel blessed to have had a chance to learn under him b/c he taught me so much about story and literature – info that even writers who “made it” aren’t aware of or have never thought through.
Anyway, I’m at the place where I need to put together an hour and a half lecture on Christian worldview and literature. I’m surprised at how many people (Christian writers) don’t understand the concept. Too many think you need to bonk people on the heads with Bibles. Bressler taught me different.
Anyway, shoot an e-mail and let me know how the House of Carrot is doing.

Yep, alive & kicking. One semester down here and hoping the next will be “easier” — whatever that means. I’ll drop you an email. Thanks for stopping by!
